Fun Friday

Today, we decided it was time to work on our Spring bulletin board. The students always make things for the board for each season. Ms. Laure is our resident art specialist, so she got us all started on painting the wings for our clothespin butterflies. Here are some pictures of our busy little butterflies today:

When we were finished, we did some torn paper activities. Tearing paper is an excellent way to improve fine motor skills, especially for our students who have OT needs, and we try to incorporate it into our art activities weekly.

A Beautiful Day

It was a beautiful day today. Our class was happy to get outside and enjoy the warmth and sunshine. It was a nice change from all the cold weather we've had lately.
Here are some pictures I snapped today of our outdoor adventures!

Brittney's new favorite activity!

Tyrell loves to swing.

Omari tried out the bottom part of the slide.

The playground mulch was much more interesting.

Tyrell likes the slide, too!

One of Tyler's favorite outdoor activities is swinging.

Taking a break on the wooden bridge.
David is quite the ham, so I had to take one more shot!

Cole had to get in on the action at the slide.

Sallicia is having a great time on the swing!

Adam likes the swings as well!

Cole got to swing with Ms. Sherry.

Adam is figuring out fun things to do with playground mulch.

Savannah is happiest with the sun on her face and the wind blowing her hair.

Our whole class is looking forward to SPRING!
